Lesson 162 

I am as God created me.

• create [kriéit] : 「創造する、創り出す」

❖　"I am as ~ "「私は、神が創造したままの私である」。あなたは、神が創造したままの、完全で無辜(むこ)なる神聖な神の子だ。



1. This single thought, held firmly in the mind, would save the world. From time to time we will repeat it, as we reach another stage in learning. 

• single [síŋɡl] : 「ただ一つの、たった一つの」
• thought [θɔ́ːt] : 「思い、考え、思考、思想」
• held [héld] : 「holdの過去形・過去分詞形」
• firmly [fə́ːrmli] : 「しっかりと、確固として」
• save [séiv] : 「救う、助ける」
• from time to time : 「時々」
• repeat [ripíːt] : 「〜を繰り返して言う」
• reach [ríːtʃ] : 「達する、至る」
• stage [stéidʒ] : 「段階、局面」
• learning [lə́ːrniŋ] : 「習うこと、学ぶこと」

❖　"This single ~ "「このたった一つの思いだけが、心の中に固く保持されていれば、世界を救うだろう」。"From time to ~ "「私達が学びの別の段階に到達するにつれ、時折、私達はこの言葉を繰り返し述べることになる」。学びのレベルが上がるたびに、今日のテーマは繰り返し述べられる。それほど、今日のものの見方は重要だ。ACIMの根幹をなす。



It will mean far more to you as you advance. These words are sacred, for they are the words God gave in answer to the world you made. 

• mean [míːn] : 「重要性を持つ、大事である」
• far more : 「はるかに多く」
• advance [ædvǽns] : 「前進、進歩」
• sacred [séikrid] : 「神聖な、聖なる」
• in answer to : 「〜に応じて、〜に答えて」

❖　"It will mean ~ "「あなたが先に進むにつれ、今日のものの見方はもっと重要になってくる」。"These words ~ "「この言葉は神聖である」。"for they are ~ "「なぜなら、この言葉は、あなたがでっち上げた世界に対する答えとして神が与えた言葉だからだ」。神から分離して神の子が幻想したこの世界は存在せず、神の子は永遠に神と共にあることを知らしめる言葉である。



By them it disappears, and all things seen within its misty clouds and vaporous illusions vanish as these words are spoken. For they come from God.

• disappear [dìsəpíər] : 「存在しなくなる、消滅する」
• within [wiðín] : 「〜の中の、〜の内側の」
• misty [místi] : 「かすんだ、ぼんやりとした」
• vaporous [véipərəs] : 「おぼろな、空虚な」
• vanish [vǽniʃ] : 「消える、消えてなくなる」

❖　"By them it ~ "「この言葉によって、世界は消滅する」。幻想は払拭される。"and all things ~ "「そして、この言葉が話されるにしたがい、この世界の霞(かす)んだ雲とおぼろな幻想の中に見られるすべてのものも消えてなくなる」。"For they come ~ "「なぜなら、これらの言葉は神からやってくるからだ」。神の言葉が放つ真実の光が、幻想の闇を払拭するのである。



2. Here is the Word by which the Son became his Father's happiness, His Love and His completion. Here creation is proclaimed, and honored as it is. 

• completion [kəmplíːʃən] : 「完成、完了、終了」
• creation [kriéiʃən] : 「創造、創作、創作物、作品」
• proclaim [proukléim] : 「宣言する」
• honor [άnər] : 「〜に敬意を払う、尊敬する」
• as it is : 「そのままに」

❖　"Here is the ~ "「ここに、神の子が父なる神の幸せと神の愛となり、そして神の完成となる言葉がある」。『私は、神が創造したままの私である』と、あなたが心から発する言葉によって、あなたは神に愛と幸せを与えることが出来、神と融合することで神を完成させることが出来る。"Here creation ~ "「ここに、創造が宣言され、その創造はありのままに敬われる」。神と融合し、神と真実(意思)を分かち合ってそれを拡張するという創造が始まる。実相的創造の宣言だ。神と創造を共有することは、ただそれだけで誰からも敬われるものとなる。なぜなら、この上なく神聖だからだ。



There is no dream these words will not dispel; no thought of sin and no illusion which the dream contains that will not fade away before their might. 

• dispel [dispél] : 「一掃する、払いのける」
• contain [kəntéin] : 「含む、包含する」
• fade [féid] away : 「消えていく、色あせる」
• might [máit] : 「力、権力、勢力」

❖　"There is no ~ "「これらの言葉が一掃できない夢など一つもない」。"no thought of ~ "「夢が含むどんな罪も幻想も、これらの言葉のもつ力の前で消えてしまわないことはない」。すべての悪夢、幻想は真実の言葉の前で簡単に消滅してしまう。



They are the trumpet of awakening that sounds around the world. The dead awake in answer to its call. And those who live and hear this sound will never look on death.

• awakening [əwéikəniŋ] : 「覚醒、目覚め」
• dead [déd] : 「死んでいる、生命のない」
• awake [əwéik] : 「目目を覚ます、眠りから覚める」
• in answer to : 「〜に応じて、〜に答えて」

❖　"They are the ~ "「この言葉は、世界中に響き渡って目覚めを促すトランペットである」。"The dead awake ~ "「その呼び声に答えて、死者をも目覚める」。"And those who ~ "「そして、この響きを耳にする生ける者達は、決して死を見ることはない」。ここはコリントの信徒への手紙一15:52からの引用である。参考までに載せておく。

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
わたしはあなたがたに神秘を告げます。わたしたちは皆、眠りにつくわけではありません。わたしたちは皆、今とは異なる状態に変えられます。最後のラッパが鳴るとともに、たちまち、一瞬のうちにです。ラッパが鳴ると、死者は復活して朽ちない者とされ、わたしたちは変えられます。この朽ちるべきものが朽ちないものを着、この死ぬべきものが死なないものを必ず着ることになります。 この朽ちるべきものが朽ちないものを着、この死ぬべきものが死なないものを着るとき、次のように書かれている言葉が実現するのです。「死は勝利にのみ込まれた。」(新共同訳)



3. Holy indeed is he who makes these words his own; arising with them in his mind, recalling them throughout the day, at night bringing them with him as he goes to sleep. 

• indeed [indíːd] : 「実に、本当に、確かに」
• arise [əráiz] : 「起きる、起床する、生まれる」
• recall [rikɔ́ːl] : 「思い出す、思い起こす」
• throughout [θruːáut] : 「〜の間中」

❖　"Holy indeed is ~ "「これらの言葉を自分自身のものとする者は実に神聖である」。"recalling them ~ "「彼は一日を通してこれらの言葉を思い出し、夜は夜で、言葉を心に抱きながら眠りにつく」。



His dreams are happy and his rest secure, his safety certain and his body healed, because he sleeps and wakens with the truth before him always. 

• rest [rést] : 「休息、睡眠、眠り」
• secure [sikjúər] : 「不安のない、安全な」
• safety [séifti] : 「安全、無事」
• certain [sə́ːrtn] : 「確実な、確かな、信頼できる」
• waken [wéikn] : 「目覚める」

❖　"His dreams are ~ "「彼の夢は幸せで、安心して休むことが出来る」。"his safety certain ~ "「安全は確実で、肉体は癒やされる」。"because he sleeps ~ "「なぜなら、彼はいつも目の前の真実と共に眠り、そして目を覚ますからだ」。



He will save the world, because he gives the world what he receives each time he practices the words of truth.

• receive [risíːv] : 「受け取る、聞く、知る」

❖　"He will save ~ "「彼は世界を救うことになる」。幻想から目覚めた神の子はキリストとなって世界を幻想から救う。"because he gives ~ "「なぜなら、彼が真実の言葉を実行するたびに受け取ったものを、彼は世界に与えるからだ」。真実の言葉を実行するたびに、神の子は真実はもちろんのこと、神の愛や喜びも受け取る。その真実、愛、喜びを、今度は世界の同胞達に与え、分かち合うのである。こうして、彼は世界を救うことが出来るようになる。



4. Today we practice simply. For the words we use are mighty, and they need no thoughts beyond themselves to change the mind of him who uses them. 

• simply [símpli] : 「質素に、簡単に」
• mighty [máiti] : 「強力な、強大な」
• beyond [bijάnd] : 「〜の向こうに、〜を越えて」

❖　"Today we ~ "「今日私たちは、シンプルに練習する」。"For the words ~ "「なぜなら、今日私たちが用いる言葉は強力であり、その言葉を使っている者の心を変えるためにその言葉自体を越える考え方を必要としないからだ」。自分は神が創造したままの自分であるという言葉は、シンプルであるが力強い言葉であり、心を変化させるにはこの言葉だけで十分だ。この言葉が伝える内容を越える考え方はない。



So wholly is it changed that it is now the treasury in which God places all His gifts and all His Love, to be distributed to all the world, increased in giving; kept complete because its sharing is unlimited. 

• wholly [hóulli] : 「完全に、全く、全面的に」
• treasury [tréʒəri] : 「宝庫、宝物」
• distribute [distríbjuːt] : 「分配する、〜を広げる」
• increase [inkríːs] : 「〜を増やす、増大させる」
• complete [kəmplíːt] : 「完全な、全部の」
• sharing [ʃέəriŋ] : 「わかち合い、共有利用」
• unlimited [ʌnlímitid] : 「制限のない、無制限の」

❖　"So wholly is ~ "「その心は完全に変化させられるので、心は今や、神が神の贈り物のすべて、神の愛のすべてを納めた宝物庫となる」。"to be distributed ~ "「その宝物は全世界に配られ、与えることで増大し、分かち合いは制限されないので、宝物は完全に保たれる」。



And thus you learn to think with God. Christ's vision has restored your sight by salvaging your mind.

• restore [ristɔ́ːr] : 「回復させる、修復する、復活させる」
• sight [sáit] : 「視力、視覚、視野、視界」
• salvage [sǽlvidʒ] : 「救い出す、救助する」

❖　"And thus you ~ "「こうして、あなたは神と共に思考することを学ぶのである」。"Christ's vision ~ "「キリストのヴィジョンは、あなたの心を救い出すことによって、あなたの視力を修正する」。投影によって生み出された幻想を実在すると見誤る知覚は修正され、心の目であるキリストのヴィジョンが復活する。ヴィジョンはあなたに、実在する真実の光景を見せてくれる。



5. We honor you today. Yours is the right to perfect holiness you now accept. 

• honor [άnər] : 「〜に敬意を払う、尊敬する」
• right [ráit] : 「権利、利権」
• holiness [hóulinis] : 「神聖、神聖さ、高潔」
• accept [əksépt]: 「受け入れる、承認する」

❖　"We honor ~ "「今日、私達はあなたに敬意を払う」。"Yours is the right ~ "「完全な神聖さを受け入れる権利は、今やあなたのものである」。神の子として完璧な神聖さを受け入れる権利は、今あなたの手にある。



With this acceptance is salvation brought to everyone, for who could cherish sin when holiness like this has blessed the world? 

• acceptance [əkséptəns] : 「受け入れること、承認」
• salvation [sælvéiʃən] : 「救出、救済、救い」
• brought [brɔ́ːt] : 「bringの過去・過去分詞形」
• cherish [tʃériʃ] : 「〜を大切にする、可愛がる」
• bless [blés] : 「〜を祝福する、清める」

❖　"With this acceptance ~ "「これを受け入れることで、すべての人達に救いがもたらせる」。"for who could ~ "「なぜなら、このような神聖さが世界を祝福しているとき、いったい誰が罪を大事にするだろうか」。あなたが神の子として神聖さを受け入れ、世界を幻想から救い世界を祝福するとき、誰も幻想の罪にしがみつく者はいない。



Who could despair when perfect joy is yours, available to all as remedy for grief and misery, all sense of loss, and for complete escape from sin and guilt?

• despair [dispέər] : 「絶望する、失望する」
• available [əvéiləbl] : 「利用できる、得られる」
• remedy [rémədi] : 「救済策、救済手段、治療」
• grief [ɡríːf] : 「悲しみ、嘆き、苦悩」
• misery [mízəri] : 「悲惨、不幸、苦痛、惨めさ」
• sense [séns] : 「感覚、感触、感じ」
• loss [lɔ́s] : 「失うこと、喪失」
• complete [kəmplíːt] : 「完全な、全部の」
• escape [iskéip] : 「逃亡、脱出、逃避」
• guilt [ɡílt] : 「犯罪、あやまち、有罪、罪」

❖　"Who could despair ~ "「完璧な喜びがあなたのものであり、悲しみや惨めさとあらゆる喪失感を癒やすものとしての喜び、そして罪や過ちから完全に逃れるための喜びをみんなが手に入れることが出来るというのに、いったい誰が絶望するだろうか」。



6. And who would not be brother to you now; you, his redeemer and his savior. 

• redeemer [ridíːmər] : 「救い主、贖い主」
• savior [séiviər] : 「救い手、救済者、救い主」

❖　"And who would ~ "「そして、今のあなたにとって、いったい誰が同胞ではないと言えるだろうか」。"you, his redeemer ~ "「あなたこそ、彼の贖い主であり、救い主であろうと言うのに」。



Who could fail to welcome you into his heart with loving invitation, eager to unite with one like him in holiness? 

• fail [féil] : 「失敗する、しくじる」
• invitation [ìnvətéiʃən] : 「招き、招待」
• eager [íːɡər] : 「しきりに〜したがる」
• unite with : 「〜と一緒になる、〜と結合する」

❖　"Who could fail ~ "「愛をめて心の中にあなたを招き、彼と同じ神聖さの中で一体になりたいと望み損なう者などいるだろうか」。



You are as God created you. These words dispel the night, and darkness is no more. 

• dispel [dispél] : 「〜を払いのける、払拭する」
• no more : 「もはや〜しない」

❖　"You are as ~ "「あなたは、神が創造したままのあなたである」。"These words ~ "「この言葉は夜を払いのけ、もはや闇は存在しない」。



The light is come today to bless the world. For you have recognized the Son of God, and in that recognition is the world's.

• recognize [rékəɡnàiz] : 「〜を認識する、受け入れる」
• recognition [rèkəɡníʃən] : 「認識、認証」
